WHAT CHEMICAL ENGINEERS DO
Chemical Engineers translate processes initiated in a laboratory setting into practical applications for commercial or mass productions of products. They then work to maintain and improve these processes. These engineers rely on their extensive knowledge of science-specifically chemistry- and math to also solve technical problems they encounter. These problems can range from production of chemicals, fuels, medicines, food, cosmetics, and other products.
IMPORTANCE OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERS
Chemical Engineers work in almost all industries and affect the production of products produced on an industrial scale. These engineers ensure the safety, compliance of health standards and environmental regulations of products. Incorporation of safety standards when handling dangerous chemicals are also developed by Chemical Engineers. In production facilites, they monitor and optimize the performance of production processes. Research to further improve products and its production are performed along with estimations of product and production cost.

Here is a helpful video of several Chemical Engineers describing their line of work.
